Theory:
Fractions consist of a denominator and numerator. The denominator is the total quantity being dealt with, and the numerator is the specific portion of the total quantity which is being dealt with.
Pie graphs may be hard to first get the hang of creating, but what to keep in mind is that the total pie should represent the total quantity being dealt with and the portions are the individual cuts in the graph, itself.
Question:-
Five friends buy a pizza that costs $20.00. Each person contributes the following amount of money.
Joe - $5.00
Monica - $10.00
Martha – $2.00
Joseph – $2.00
Michel – $1.00
Each person will eat an amount of pizza proportional to the amount of money they paid.
1) Draw a circle graph that represents the amount each person eats.
2) Draw the circle graph if Monica only eats half of her pizza and gives what she has left to Martha.
